Voraussetzung für die Habilitation ist der Abschluss eines Doktoratsstudiums bzw. die Promotion. == Ablauf == | |||
* At the first meeting, taking place as soon as all members have been nominated, the head of the committee is elected and two reviewers for the didactic qualification are chosen. (The reviewers judging the scientific work will have been selected already before by the senate.) | |||
* Three to four months later, as soon as a sufficient number of reports has arrived, the public talk by the Habilitation candidate takes place followed by a question answering session. The members of the committee are expected to attend this talk. | |||
* The last meeting takes place at least two days and at most two weeks after the talk. Based on the reports and on the talk the committee decides about the Habilitation. | |||
* Replacement members have access to the reports and can attend the meetings, but have only a vote if they step in for a regular member that couldn’t make it to the meeting. | |||
